MEP Construction Layout
Accurate layout for the trades building Colorado.
MEP is mechanical, electrical and plumbing. We do construction layout for those trades on building projects, and electrical layout is our established work.
Trade layout has to be accurate and coordinated, and the crew installing the work has to be able to use it. Correct on a screen isn't enough.
Our established focus
Electrical layout
Scale: NTSSince 2024 we have done the layout on project after project for Hi Power Electric: high-rise, multifamily and commercial buildings in Colorado.
Electrical layout
since 2024
The model comes from the trade's VDC team. We clean it to the building grid, check it against the drawings and stake it where the crew needs it.
- Sleeves and embeds located on the deck before the pour
- Deck pour layout, floor by floor
- Site electrical
- Points from VDC model exports, on the building grid
- Re-checks when the model or the drawings change
Growing with the trades
Mechanical and plumbing layout
Mechanical and plumbing layout run on the same control and the same checks as our electrical work. We are taking on that work now.
Tell us your scope and we will tell you straight whether it fits.
Send us M-100
- Your trade and the scope
- The model export or CAD
- The building, the town and the floors
- When the first area has to be ready
Vertical construction
Every trade on the same grid
On a building with several trades, everyone needs the same grid and the same control. We work on the building grid the coordinated model uses. Each trade's layout comes off the same control, so the work lands where the model put it.
On a multistory job that control has to carry up the building, floor by floor, while the deck is busy. High-rise and vertical construction
Why a construction-focused surveyor
What the trades get from us
| Mark | Note | What it means on the job |
|---|---|---|
| K1 | Planned ahead | Control and points ready before the pour window, not during it. |
| K2 | Readable layout | Marks the crew can read and build from, without a phone call to decode them. |
| K3 | Checked first | Layout checked against the current model and drawings before it leaves our hands. |
| K4 | Knows the sequence | We know the schedule moves. We plan the layout around the deck, the pour and the other trades. |
| K5 | One call | The surveyor who set the control is the one you talk to. |
| K6 | Licensed | Brandon Pulling, PLS, is accountable for the work. |
